Matt's tense again, and his jaw is tight, and his knuckles are white. Hes angry for a second time since he woke up. That can't be healthy. He asked, though. He deserved it.
Tim didn't. Tim didn't deserve his dad carving a path out for him. Matt's dad did, but in a different way--out of love.
Tim may not need protecting, but Matt will sure as fuck do it anyway.
"That's how I decided the law wasn't enough," He says quietly. "There was a little girl three blocks over, her dad used to come into her room at night--a good later or the best policeman in the world couldn't touch it. So I did."
